“Emily Quirk is a distinguished portrait and documentary photographer born & raised & based in Nashville, Tennessee. With over a decade behind the lens, she has honed her craft capturing iconic moments and the natural essence of her subjects.

Quirk balances her work between digital photography and analog 35mm and medium format film, bringing a timeless sensibility to each frame.

Over the past decade, Quirk has built a reputation photographing the world of live music — from intimate backstage moments to thoughtful portraits of country music’s biggest stars to the energetic chaos of shows and festivals of all sizes. She immerses herself in each moment with a natural instinct and enthusiasm for storytelling, photographing the intersection of music, movement, and place. Her portfolio most notably includes her years working with Apple Music.

More recently, Quirk has expanded her focus toward architectural, interior, and hospitality photography, drawn to spaces where design, landscape, and human experience coexist. She is particularly inspired by thoughtfully designed hotels, desert landscapes, and environments that invite a slower rhythm of living — where natural light drifts across a room and atmosphere breathes as a central character in the narrative.

Quirk’s artistic perspective has been shaped by time spent living within the vibrant cultural landscape of New Orleans, the architectural grandeur of Chicago, and the lush musical heartland of Nashville, where she calls home. These places have cultivated a deep appreciation for the character of place. From Tennessee’s quiet back roads to the wide open desert skies of West Texas or the coastal sunlight of Southern Europe, she approaches each destination with the eye of a documentarian and the sensibility of a visual diarist.

Always curious about the world around her, Quirk embraces experiences that bring her closer to the stories she documents — whether that means a spontaneous road trip, swimming in the ocean, snowboarding down a mountain, wine tasting with friends, or two-stepping across a honky-tonk dance floor. When she’s not behind the camera, she can be found exploring the outdoors with her two beloved dogs, Cowboy and Rodeo — on sunset walks, trail hikes, or paddleboarding on a quiet lake. A visual and experiential storyteller at heart, Quirk approaches life with the same curiosity she brings to her work, always ready to capture the beauty of life unfolding in the next moment.”
